Daniel Patrick “Pat” Bingaman, age 66 of Vicksburg, died Friday March 5, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo where he had been a patient for 3 weeks. He was born in Three Rivers on April 2, 1943 the son of Clifford M. and Jane E. (Truckey) Bingaman. Pat was married to Susan Jean “Susie” King on July 10, 1965 at her parent’s Fisher Lake home. They resided in Colorado for 32 years, where Pat was a bus mechanic for Woodland Park Schools for 10 years and for Platte Canyon Schools in Bailey, CO for 22 years. They returned to Michigan in 2001. Pat was a model airplane builder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending Mendon Hornet football games.
Pat is survived by his wife, Susie; 3 brothers, Clifford Bingaman, Jr. (Catherine) of Constantine, Michael Bingaman (Betty) of LaGrange, and Joseph Bingaman (Pat) of Mendon; 2 sisters in law, Priscilla Bingaman of Mendon and Eleanor Bingaman of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by 2 brothers, Donald and Richard Bingaman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday March 9, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to either the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
